Well, I think Jayson Werth is another target. If he doesn’t come to Boston or Philly, he’s up for grabs in the AL West. Another pickup could be Adam Dunn, moving him to third. Nobody thought of that ‘ey?

Agreed Joseph.. And If the A’s can also land Beltre it will allow them to move Kouzmanoff or Encarnacion for even more help (if that’s not the plan already).

The A’s are clearly trying to be aggressive this offseason, and with rumors swirling around that the A’s offered Beltre a 5-year deal worth about $64 million the team could make a run next year. Nothing has been done, however, to really address the lack of offense, but if the A’s land a bat or two (either through trade or via free agency), the team has a shot at contending in 2011.
