Tuesday Twitter Stalking: For Better Or Worse Vernon Wells Nears His Return

I’ve been in the minority all along when its come to Vernon Wells. I wasn’t on the verge of a meltdown (like so many) when the Angels traded for Wells , and I had fairly high hopes for his 2011 seasonal outlook. So I probably remain in the minority as one of the few Halo fans who will be glad when Vernon makes his return from the DL sometime in the next week or so.

Wells is giddy about his pending return in his own right Tweeting

Ran full speed for the first time yesterday. Can’t wait to get back! Miss being on the field with the boys!!

Whether you were on board with the Wells’ signing or not you have to admit that despite his current /.183/.224/.303 slash line his bat has the potential to give the Halos a much needed boost. When coupled with the pending return of Howie Kendrick the Angels lineup could actually look serviceable again.  The lineup deployed by Scioscia in tonight’s contest vs. lefty Jeff Francis was “creative” to say the least.

The Tuesday “ Twitter Stalking” series at the Halo Hangout takes a look at the best recent Tweets from Angels players and personnel. The word “stalking” is used solely for entertainment purposes and to mock the behavior of crazy ex girlfriends worldwide. Only we wont cut up your jeans or throw your stuff out on the lawn.. We’re just stalking for fun.
