John Heyman Tweets Angels Shortlist Of GM Candidates

According to SI’s John Heyman the Angels have created a wish list for their vacant GM position and its floating around out there. I’m not sure if this list is in a word doc or excel file somewhere or just hanging out in Arte Moreno’s pocket – but apparently the thing lives. Heyman Tweets that the list includes Jerry Dipoto(former D Backs Interim GM) and Damon Oppenheimer ( current Yankees Amateur Scouting VP). Today the Orange County Register (via the NY Daily News reported that the Yankees  have granted permission to the Angels to interview both Oppenheimer and a new list member Billy Eppler, ( Yankees professional scouting Director)  for the openings in their front office. Remember with the house cleaning of the past few weeks the Angels have several front office positions to fill – so this could get interesting – stay tuned.
