The Diamondbacks got the best of former teammate Dan Haren last night and Trevor Cahill shut down the Angels bats as they D’backs got the 5-0 win. The Angels could only muster three hits off Trevor Cahill and two relievers. The Diamondbacks took an early lead and never looked back.

Chris Young hit a lead off double and Jason Kubel drove him in with an RBI double. In the sixth, Kubel got a one out double. After a groundout, Haren intentioanlly walked Miguel Montero to face Aaron Hill. That turned into a mistake as Hill hit a three run home run to left to put the game out of reach. Lyle Overbay doubled and Ryan Roberts drove him in for the fifth and final run of the game.

The Angels 1-5 hitters went 0-19 with a walk and eight strikeouts. Haren again is a victim of a lack of run support. He falls to 4-7 on the season.

The Angels look to even up the series as Ervin Santana may be pitching for his spot in the rotation against former Angel Joe Saunders at 7:05.
