Series Preview: A Quick Trip To Baltimore

The Angels make a quick pit stop to Baltimore for a two game set with the Orioles. The Angels got very healthy playing in interleague play, winning the past five series. The Angels are just 4.5 back of the division leading Texas Rangers. The Orioles have lost four of their past six games coming into this series and sit 3.5 games behind the AL East leading New York Yankees. The Angels and Orioles met in April out in LA where the Angels took two of three from the O’s.

Torii Hunter comes in as one of the hottest Angels going and that may be because he hits in that two hole. Hunter is hitting .345 while hitting in that spot behind Mike Trout and ahead of Albert Pujols. One of the keys to this series may be the bullpens. Both bullpens are on a roll. Baltimore leads with a 2.30 ERA and the Angels are ninth with a 3.10 ERA. Comeback wins against the bullpen may not happen in the series

Here are your pitching match-ups for this quick two game set:

Monday: C.J. Wilson vs Brian Matusz

Wednesday: Jered Weaver vs Jason Hammel

Both games are at 7:05 ET 4:05 PT
