One of the many pleasure of going to a minor league game is the chance to see the teams pimping out their uniforms in order to increase attendance. From Star Wars to Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles to Halloween themes, the marketing departments for these affiliates have no shortage of creativity.
And with one swift blow to the head, the Inland Empire 66ers topped them all.
As an athletic organization, the Los Angeles Angels’ Single-A affiliate already prescribes to the first rule of Zombieland; Cardio. It was only fitting that they translated that into the ultimate game-night gimmick.

That’s right folks, the Inland Empire 66ers are bringing you to the Zombie Apocalypse! The one night only jerseys will be complete with blood stains and tire tracks to make it look like players have been run over. Events at the park will also include a haunted house, a blood drive, and members of the Zombie Research Society interacting with fans before and during the game.
And if that wasn’t enough, the pitcher formerly known as Trevor Cahill is expected to start for visiting Visalia, after accepting an outright assignment from the Majors all the way to high-A, where he’ll presumably try to bring his career back from the dead.
Rick Grimes, George Romero, and even Simon Pegg would be proud of these beauties! Hopefully the 66ers don’t forget the double-tap.
