The company BODYARMOR makes a sports drink. The SuperDrink. Apparently the creative department was out sick on product naming day. The deal makes Trout a “partner” and gives him an equity stake in the company. Trout’s duties as partner will include attending events,promotions and, more importantly, product testing. I assume that means drinking the SuperDrink but I’m hoping it includes inventing new flavors like cherry-jalepeno or pickle juice. Shake things up. Everybody’s already had Orange Mango and Raspberry Blueberry Goji.

I’ve never heard of BODYARMOR before but the name makes me feel like they make socks. But if Mike Trout is hocking it, I’m willing to give it a try. I like sports drinks. I like hydration. I’m out of luck though as there isn’t a retailer within 50 miles from me in New Orleans. If some one would like to send me a bottle I’d be happy to review it.

The Cardinals took the top spot and I can’t argue against that, it’s a sweet jersey. The Yankees came in at four which seemed a little low considering the iconic logo and how the rap community has adopted them as their official brand. Up the freeway and spend happy Angels rivals, el Dodgeros of Los Angeles, ranked sixth.

I think the Angels were punished for the use of the red jerseys and not using the sleeveless variety enough. And the Uni Watch folks did mention the disaster from the late 90′s.

Damn you, Disney’s art department. Stick to drawing mice. That was a mess.

Points had to be deducted from the current team just because those things existed. My personal favorite is the throwback uniforms with the lower case “a” and floating halo.

Perhaps, I’m just swayed by the number 27. While I generally like Angels logo and uni’s, they do strike me as middle of the pack than toward the top or bottom. But if you want to challenge my fashion sense, this might be my favorite looking jersey. Sure, it’s not an Angels jersey or the number 27 but…

Apparently, bored by the action of 17 and 18-year-olds, the Orem Owlz mascot, Hoot, got married in 2009 to a new female mascot, Holly. Well, you guys, they have consummated that marriage. At a recent game, Holly revealed her pregnancy test to Hoot and the couple is expecting. You’ll have to wait until Opening Day 2013 to find out if it’s a boy or a girl, um, bird mascot.
