According to the AP, Adrain Beltre and the Texas Rangers have reached a preliminary agreement to officially bring Beltre to Texas. Pending a physical, Beltre is officially moving to Texas!

I’m sure our friends over at Fansided.com‘s official Texas Ranger blog, Nolan Writin are excited about the signing, but this now leaves Angels fans in despair.

One of the weakest, if not THE weakest, postion in the Angels lineup is at third base. Every team knows that, in order for your team to be successful, a quality third baseman is an absolute must. Having a weak third baseman is like having a injured leg… it’s usable, and you can sometimes play through it, but it doesn’t help you to reach the pinnacle of your sports career. You will never be able to go further than your leg will allow it.

The focus now shifts to Rafael Soriano. The other gaping hole in the Halo pitching staff is having a true and reliable closer. Soriano gives you that.

Will Soriano sign? What do you think?
