The Los Angeles Dodgers Of Los Angeles Shirt Is 6 Years Too Late

I’m not sure who is behind the design and distribution of  this new Dogders shirt but I’m pretty sure its not Nike. “The Swoosh”  is generally a  pretty savvy marketer in large part  thanks to some of the creative genius from Portland Oregon based Wieden+Kennedy. These Nike cats are not dorks.  So that leaves.. yup you guessed it your Los Angeles Dodgers.  Since it’s an apparent dig at the  Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim , this shirt would have been cool in 2005 when the Angels actually made the name change.

Releasing this shirt  in 2011 just seems late, pretentious and petty. Hey Dodgers,  have you heard that new Kanye West song?
