MLB.COM Video – Mark Trumbo Hits Bombs!

We are now a little over a week into the Angels Spring Training games and so far the most exciting development has been the power of Mark Trumbo. After tying for the minor league lead in home runs last year Trumbo has continued hitting bombs so far this spring. In the Halos 8-2 loss to the Royals yesterday Trumbo connected for his 2nd home run of the spring, a GOLIATH blast  to left. With each  home run Trumbo hits his chances to make the big league club continue to rise.

It will be interesting to see how Trumbo progresses this spring and eventually what type of role he can carve out for himself  with the big league club in 2011. With the way  Trumbo’ s spring has gone so far, Mark is making  my prediction from October  look straight up prophetic.
