Another Series Another Loss: Angels Drop 2 Of 3 To Royals

The Angels were shutout 9-0  Sunday by Vin Mazzaro and the Kansas City Royals.  Yes the same Vin Mazzaro who in his previous 2 starts allowed a mind boggling 20 earned runs. Leave it to the Angels bats to wake up a struggling pitcher. Mazzaro somehow navigated his way through 7  shutout innings while getting the Halos to bounce into 5 double plays.( Yes Torii Hunter included).  With the loss the Angels dropped the 3 games series 2-1 to the Royals and dropped to 31-36 overall. Screams for Mickey Hatcher’s dismissal as Hitting Coach have probably never been more loud or more deserved. The Angels continue to exhibit poor approaches at the plate and consistently lack a game plan that is tailored toward the opposing starter.
