Potential Breaking News: Garrett Richards Reportedly Called Up To Face Yankees
Well if Twitter holds true and we all know its prone to lie – then Angels fans will finally get something they have wished for. In a season where inexplicably Jeff Mathis has started 64 games the madness maybe finally coming to an end. Keith Law Tweets that the Angels are preparing to call up their top pitching prospect Garrett Richards to face the Yankees on Wednesday:

If Law’s Tweet holds true – this is a wise move by the Halos. Give Richards a few starts to see what he has got. If he should falter then the Angels can always fall back to the lower upside veteran options (Takahashi, Bell, Palmer). This is exactly the move we suggested in the post last week.
