Trumbo’s Walk Off Saves The Sweep But Angels Playoff Hopes Still Grim – And The Friday Links
By Unknown author

Mark Trumbo connected for a two run walk off home run in the bottom of the ninth inning Thursday night to give the Angels a much needed win against the Texas Rangers. The win prevented the Halos from falling 8 games back in the division and trimmed the Rangers lead to a healthy 6 game advantage.
Still the Halos severely damaged their playoff f hopes by dropping 3 of 4 in this series. Sure 6 games isn’t an insurmountable lead. But the obvious pimple on the nose this entire series was that Texas is a better ball club than the Angels So with 36 games left (6 against Texas) the Halos will have to play way above their heads to catch the Rangers. Can they do it? Probably not. Will they do it? That remains to be seen.
