Update: Vernon Wells Is Healthy And In The Lineup – Mike Trout Starting In Right Field

Updating our post from earlier today. It turns out Vernon Wells is not headed to the DL and that Horacio Ramirez was in fact sent down in order clear a roster spot for Mike Trout.

Trout is starting in right field and will hit 8th for the Halos tonight. Two spots behind left fielder Vernon Wells. In an interview on the AM 830 pre-game show Mike Scioscia said Trout will likely play about 3-4 times per week giving Wells, Abreu, Hunter and Bourjos the occasional day off.

It would be nice to see Trout get into a groove at the plate which would turn one of the struggling veterans ( Wells or  Abreu) into a platoon player.
