Angels Welcome The A’s To Anaheim For Three And The Friday Links

The Angels fell to the Blue Jays last night 4-3 in 12 innings, which ran the clubs record on their final road trip of the season to 5-5. Not good enough. Texas has gone 8-2 in their last ten games which has given them a seemingly insurmountable five game lead with six to play. A win would have pulled the Angels to within two games of the slumping Red Sox but once again their offense let them down as they somehow managed only three hits in the games final six innings.

So now the Angels head home from Canada (hopefully) in must win mode. The Halos need to go on a 5-1 or 6-0 tear to have any hopes of reaching the post season and then pray for losses from both Tampa (1 game lead)  and Boston ( 3 game lead). Jered Weaver takes the ball tonight looking to set the tone against the Oakland A’s. He will oppose Gio Gonzalez who has dominated the Angels in past performances. Should be fun.

Onto The Friday Links.
