Mark Trumbo Wins Sporting News Rookie Of The Year And The Thursday Links

Big ups to Mark Trumbo who was named Rookie Of The Year by The Sporting News yesterday. Mark’s 29 home runs and 87 RBI’s led the Angels as well as all AL rookies. Trumbo also revealed that the stress fracture in his foot that cut his season short actually happened about a month prior. Telling Big Joe Mcdonnel:

"To be honest, it was (bothering me) for a while — probably a month and a half if not two months. I don’t know at exactly what point I fractured it, but it was at least (six weeks) before I finally had to come out of the lineup.”"
