The Angels bats broke out as they pounded Orioles pitching for 17 hits and four home runs as the Angels beat the Orioles 7-3. C.J. Wilson continued his solid pitching even while being on six days rest. Wilson went seven innings giving up only one run. The Angels have won 12 of their past 16 games and have MLB’s best record since April 28.

The Angels got the scoring started in the top of the third when Mike Trout doubled and Torii Hunter drove him in with a single. The Angels made it 3-0 in the fifth as Albert Pujols hit his 12th homer of the year. The Orioles responded in their half as Steve Pearce hit his second homer of the year. In the top of the sixth, Peter Bourjos hit his third homer of the year to make it 5-1. In the top of the eighth Mark Trumbo hit a solo shot for his 18th of the year. In the top of the eighth, John Hester hit a solo shot. In the bottom of the eighth, Wilson Betemit hit a two run homer of Jason Isringhausen to make it 7-3.

The Angels look to sweep the two game set as Jered Weaver will take on Jason Hammel at 705 ET 405 PT.
