Mike Trout led with his glove to make the Angels play of the year then his bat If you haven’t seen it do a quick google search. (waiting…..seen it? Good!) The Angels beat up on Hammel for his worst start of the year by far as the Angels go into Baltimore and complete the sweep 13-1. The fourth inning was key.

Torii Hunter started the scoring with his 10th homer of the year. In the bottom of the first Chris Davis singled and Adam Jones drove him in with a double. It would be the only Oriole run of the game. In the top of the third, Trout singled, Hunter and Albert Pujols walked and Kendrys Morales singled in Trout and Hunter. The Angels really got it going in the fourth. Alberto Callaspo doubled and Howie Kendrick drove him in. After a fielder’s choice, Bobby Wilson singled to make it first and third. Trout drove in Erick Aybar on a single. Hunter singled to drive in Wilson and the runners advanced on an error by Jones. Then on a dropped throw, Trout scored as Hunter stole second on went to third on the error. Pujols was walked intentionally and Morales drove in Hunter again with a single. Callaspo singled to drive in Pujols for the final run of the inning. In the seventh, Wilson doubled and after two strikeouts, Peter Boujos drove home Wilson and Morales drove in Bourjos.

Jered Weaver pitched a solid 6.2 innings giving up only the one run while striking out six. Morales and Hunter had three hits, while Trout had four and scored three times. The Angels head to Canada to take on the Blue Jays for four games starting tonight.
