Halo Highlights- Angels Get Split with Jays

It got interesting late, but the Angels managed to hang on as they beat the Blue Jays 10-6. It wasn’t the prettiest victory ever, but the Angels earned a four game split with the Blue Jays. The Angels are 4-2 on this road trip with three games to go before heading home to close out first half of the season.
The Angels scored their first run on an error as Rajai Davis misplayed a Albert Pujols fly ball which allowed Mike Trout to score. No one scored again until the fifth inning when Alberto Callaspo parked his sixth home run of the year to make it 3-0. After two walks and a single, Jose Bautista reached on Howard Kendrick’s error. Mike Scioscia was not happy about the call at the plate on got ejected from the game. In the seventh J.P. Arencibia hit his 11th homer of the year to tie the game. The Angels responded in the eighth as Mike Trout led off the inning with his ninth homer and Mark Trumbo hit his 20th, which was a two run shot. The Angels added to it in the ninth. After a single, an error and a Trout walk, Torii Hunter hit a sac fly. Albert Pujols then followed with an RBI single. Peter Bourjos, who came in for defense, followed with a single of his own. Kendrys Morales got Pujols home with a fielder’s choice. In the ninth, Colby Rasmus hit his 15th home run of the year, a three run shot, to conclude the scoring.
The Angels head to Cleveland where Jered Weaver will take on Ubaldo Jimenez and 7:05 ET/4:05 PT
