Halo Highlights- Haren Rocked as Mariners Even The Series

Maybe Dan Haren‘s back is bothering him again. Maybe it’s just a blip. We’ll see in the next five days. The one thing we do know is that he didn’t look good last night. Haren gave up seven runs in 3.1 innings and the Halos couldn’t recover as the Mariners took game two of the series 7-4.
The Mariners got it started in the second when Travon Robinson and Dustin Ackley drove in runs with singles. In the top of the third, John Jaso hit his seventh homer of the year. In the fourth, Robinson drove in another run on a sac fly. Albert Pujols misplayed Ackley’s ball which allowed another run to score and Jaso drove in another run with a single. The Angels got one back when Vernon Wells drove in a run with a single. Wells then hit a two run homer in the eighth. In the ninth, Kendrys Morales hit a solo shot, his 15th of the year.
Some positives you can take away though, were Wells getting three RBI’s and Jerome Williams pitching a scoreless 5.2 innings out of the bullpen. The series wraps up today as Jered Weaver will take on Jason Vargas at 12:35PT/3:35ET
