Jered Weaver was due to have a bad game. Let’s not go crazy about it. However, if he’s not going to pitch well the Angels are really in trouble, considering the status of everyone else in the rotation. That two game winning streak is just a memory now.

The Rays got started right away when two batters in, B.J. Upton hit his 15th homer of the year. Ben Zobrist led off the second with his 14th homer of the year. The Angels got one back when Erick Aybar hit his seventh homer of the year. Then the top of the third came. Two singles and a walk loaded the bases. The Rays then had three straight singles and a double to knock out Weaver. Then Upton added a another single to conclude the seven run fourth inning. Howard Kendrick hit his sixth homer of the year, a two run shot in the bottom of the fourth. After two singles in the fifth, Sean Rodriguez brought a run in with a groundout. In the eighth, Jose Molina hit his fifth homer of the year. In the ninth, Sam Fuld tripled and Elliot Johnson drove him in with a sac fly.

C.J. Wilson looks to stop the bleeding tonight as he will take on Alex Cobb who is on fire as of late. The game is at 6:05PT/9:05ET
