Are things looking up in LA? Could they be turning it around? Well they won two of three against Cleveland and then got swept by the Rays so I guess we should take it for what it is and enjoy right? Except for Albert Pujols leaving the game with a calf injury it was all in all pretty good. Pujols will have an MRI on it today. He hopes to only miss a game or two.

The Angels got it started in the third when Maicer Izturis and Erick Aybar each singled. Chris Iannetta brought home Izturis and Mike Trout‘s double play brought home another. In the fourth, Pujols doubled, went to third on a groundout and came home on Mark Trumbo‘s single. Howard Kendrick doubled after Trumbo was caught stealing and scored on Izturis’ single. The Red Sox came back with two of their own in the bottom half when a single and back to back doubles by Ryan Lavarnway and Mike Aviles brought home runs. In the sixth, Kendrick hit his seventh homer of the year. After three singles, Torii Hunter drove a run in with a single of his own. In the eighth, Dustin Pedroia singled and scored on a Cody Ross double.

The Angels will go for the sweep tonight as C.J. Wilson will take on Franklin Morales at 7:05ET/4:05PT. If the Angels do it, it will be their first sweep of the Red Sox in Boston since 2008.
