Halo Highlights- Bats Go Boom Early as Wilson Gets First Win Since June

This was probably not the debut that Zach Stewart had in mind. The Angels got to him early and often giving C.J. Wilson his first win since June 26 as the Angels won 10-3. The Angels scored early and often scoring four in the first and the third.
Mike Trout got it started (shocker I know) with a single. Torii Hunter‘s double drove him home. Albert Pujols single drove in Hunter and then Kendrys Morales drove his 17th homer of the year. The Red Sox got one of the runs back when Mauro Gomez and Mike Aviles singled and Scott Podsednik drove a run in with a sac fly. The Angels came right back in the bottom half when Erick Aybar doubled and Hunter drove him in with a single.
The Angels put it out of reach in the third. Morales singled. Alberto Callaspo and Erick Aybar hit back to back doubles and then Chris Iannetta hit his seventh homer of the year. The Red Sox got a couple in the fifth. Podsednik and Pedro Ciriaco singled but Ciriaco was erased on a fielder’s choice by Jacoby Ellsbury. Podsednik scored when Iannetta tried to throw out Ellsbury stealing, but the throw went into the outfield. Dustin Pedroia‘s single brought in Ellsbury. In the fifth, Mark Trumbo walked. Howard Kendrick singled. Trumbo scored when Callaspo grounded into a double play.
The Angels go for the sweep tonight when Zack Greinke and Jon Lester duel at 7:05PT/10:05ET
