These teams met two weeks ago in Detroit where the Tigers took two out of three from the Halos, in part due to a leaky bullpen that has looked better of late.
The Angels come off of their sweep in Oakland of the A’s. The Angels were supposed to have Jered Weaver pitch tonight, however he’s been pushed back due to his sore shoulder. The hope is to get him back in the rotation on Tuesday, however nothing is set in stone.
The Tigers come off of losing two out of three to the Cleveland Indians and the series with the Angels begins a 10 game road trip for them. Tigers slugger Miguel Cabrera was just named AL player of the month for August. Cabrera hit .357 with eight homers and 24 RBIS.
Let’s take a look at the pitching matchups:
Friday: Max Scherzer vs Ervin Santana 7:05PT/10:05ET
Saturday: Justin Verlander vs C.J. Wilson 6:05PT/9:05ET
Sunday: Anibal Sanchez vs Zack Greinke 12:35PT/3:35ET
Enjoy the weekend everyone.
