Halo Highlights- Wilson Drubbed As Angels Fall To 3.5 Out Of Wild Card

C.J. Wilson picked a really bad time to not have a good performance. Wilson only went 2.2 innings and gave up three runs as the Angels lost 6-2 and are now 3.5 games out of a wild card birth. Wilson now falls to 12-10 on the season.

The wheels began to fall off in the third inning. Ian Kinsler singled. Elvis Andrus tripled to drive him in. Michael Young doubled Andrus in to make it 2-0. After two outs, Mike Napoli doubled home Young to knock Wilson out of the game.The Angels got their two runs in the fifth when Howard Kendrick singled and Alberto Callaspo hit his 10th homer of the year.
The score stayed that way until the eighth. Young singled and Nelson Cruz doubled him in and got thrown out trying to stretch it into a triple. Napoli walked two batters later and Leonys Martin ran for him. Geovany Soto followed it with his 10th home run of the year.
The series concludes tonight with a pitchers’ duel as Yu Darvish and Zack Greinke will face off at 10:05ET/7:05PT. The Orioles are off and the A’s play an afternoon game in Detroit.
