In the penultimate home series of the season, the Chicago White Sox come to town to take on the Angels. Both teams are playing in do or die games this weekend, but probably more so in the Angels case.

The Angels are only 4-6 in their last 10 games and are 4.5 games out of a wild card spot with 12 to go. The Angels, at worst, need to go 9-3 in order to have a chance of getting one of those spots. This may be a last stand of sorts for the Angels because if they get swept, their posteason chances go out the window. The White Sox have a two game lead in their division over the Detroit Tigers, so this series is very important for them as well. These two teams met in the first week of August with the White Sox taking two of three from the Angels. The White Sox are only one game over .500 on the season on the road, so we’ll see if the Halos can take advantage.
