Well, you have to say this about the Angels. They don’t give up. They may not make the playoffs, though they are giving it their best shot. The Angels completed the weekend sweep of the Chicago White Sox 4-1. With the A’s win, they remain 2.5 games out of a wild card birth.

The game was scoreless until the Angels do what they do best. It seems when they score runs it isn’t one here and two there its four all at once. That’s what they did in the sixth. With one out, Mike Trout walked. Torii Hunter followed with a single. Albert Pujols doubled them home and then Kendrys Morales followed that with his 22nd homer of the year.

The White Sox got their lone run in the top of the seventh. A.J. Pierzynski doubled, went to third on a wild pitch and scored on Dayan Viciedo‘s sac fly.

The Angels are off tomorrow and will host the Mariners starting on Tuesday. Angel fans should play close attention to the doubleheader in Baltimore between the Orioles and Blue Jays. Oakland heads to Texas to begin a series tomorrow as well so as it weird as it may sound, you have to root for the Rangers.
