Halo Highlights- Haren Hit Hard in Last Start of Season

In what might be Dan Haren‘s final start as an Angel, he and the team didn’t exactly go out on a high note. Haren gave up five runs in six innings, and his opponent, Hisashi Iwakuma, pitched six shut out innings as the Mariners beat the Angels 6-1.

Kyle Seager got the Mariners off to a quick start with his 20th homer of the year in the bottom of the first. In the fourth, John Jaso reached on Howard Kendrick’s error. Justin Smoak followed with a double and Michael Saunders brought everyone in with a double of his own.
In the sixth, Seager doubled and Jaso brought him in with a single. Two batters later, Jesus Montero singled and Saunders brought him home with a double.
In the eighth, Jaso walked, Smoak singled and Montero singled to drive in Jaso.
The Angels finally got on the scoreboard in the ninth Andrew Romine singled, went to second on defensive indifference and scored on Kendrick’s single.
The Angels and Mariners will play one more game before calling it a season (Where did the time go?)
