Pujols Kitchen Cooking Up Kindness

On Monday, we looked at the ZiPS projections for what Albert Pujols might do for the Angels in 2013. While the projected stats (31 HR, .285/.359/.516) aren’t as scary as his peak years, Pujols is still a monster on the field. Off the field? Not so much. Although his wife Deidre took the reins with Pujols Kitchen, the cause is likely near and dear to Albert’s heart. And stomach. Get ready for some block quotes…

"The mission of the Pujols Kitchen is to reduce hunger one family at a time and create stronger, healthier communities by providing families with the tools and knowledge they need to create meals that nourish their bodies and spirits.*snip*Through the Pujols Kitchen and our work with the Pujols Family Foundation, we hope to bring about an improvement in the quality of life for the women of the Dominican and others like them around the globe.*and*Profits from cookware sales are donated to families in poverty around the globe, providing them with cookware and non-perishable food. Families are enabled to feel better about their future while enabling you to feel better knowing you’ve made a world of difference."

The cookware ranges from $279.99 for a 10-piece set to $6.99 for a slotted silicon spatula. Perfect for flipping the deer burgers Kaleb Cowart brought over.

I think Pujols Kitchens should send ESPN’s Keith Law some cookware to review on his blog The Dish. Or how about a cook-off with Vladimir Guerrero‘s mom? I’m literally filled with two ideas to promote this thing. If Pujols Kitchens wants to thank me, they can send me one of those red lunchboxes. I’m a fatty on the go.
