Angels place Tommy Hanson on the Disabled List, Mike Scioscia gets an apology from Bo Porter and, Albert Pujols lobbied for the Angels to wear a patch in honor of Stan Musial.

Angels Place Tommy Hanson on DL With Forearm Injury

With back and shoulder ailments over the past two season with Atlanta, it was not so much an “if,” but “when” was Hanson going to get hurt. That question was answered last week just minutes before his start in Detroit. Something tells me that Hanson could be a non-tender candidate this offseason.

Scioscia Gets Apology Call From Porter Over Foul Ball

For those who don’t know, here’s the play. Sounds like Bo wants to stay on Scioscia’s good side. And, am I the only one who thinks that Hank Conger and Mark Trumbo looked like they were prepared to take on the entire Astros dugout?

Angels’ Hank Conger Could Get More Playing Time

Speaking of Hammering Hank. How good has he been? He’s made some pretty amazing strides defensively this season, and hasn’t completely abandoned his hitting tool which was got him here. If it weren’t for a lack of depth, his production could easily make Chris Iannetta expendable.

Bourjos Exits With Right Wrist Contusion After HBP

Oh for the love all things! Can we wrap Peter Bourjos in bubble wrap for the remainder of the season? he’s fast enough that it wouldn’t diminish his speed right? or his defensive prowess…right? He has done nothing but play exceptional baseball this season when he has been healthy, and this injury stuff is borderline unfair.

Albert Pujols Lobbies Angels to Wear Stan Musial No. 6 Patch

Regardless of what Cardinals fans think of Pujols these days, Albert has never stopped raving about Stan the Man. The fact that the Angels are the only team other than the Cardinals to wear a patch (albeit on their practice uniforms), shows unbelievable class, and enormous respect for one of the better players in baseball history.
