Howie Kendrick’s possible landing spots

Washington Nationals
The Washington Nationals have needed help at second base for a couple of seasons now. They have given Danny Espinosa plenty of chances to prove himself and he has yet to step up. The Nats front office was so tired of it this season that they went out and got Asdrubal Cabrera and moved him to second base to get something offensively from that position.
The Nationals also have plenty of pitching both on their major league roster but also some good arms in the minors. In the minors names like Taylor Hill and Blake Treinen could be possible guys to come back in a Kendrick deal. Treinen made 15 appearances for the Nationals in 2014 and finished with a 2.49 ERA. He worked both out of the bullpen and also made seven starts. He allowed a good amount of hits, but was able to escape.
At the major league level a name that sticks out is Tanner Roark. The Nationals will have a make a decision to sign Doug Fister long-term or let him go, coming up is Stephen Strasburg and also Bryce Harper. All of those guys need to be signed before Roark and they could want to get something back for him. Also in the minors waiting for a major league rotation spot is number one prospect Lucas Giolito. In my opinion he would be a better long-term option than Roark.
