All-Angels Team – Starting Pitcher

Here at Halo Hangout we are beginning a weekly feature that will assemble a team made up of the greatest players in Angels’ history. This team will be made up of eight position players, with a starting pitcher, a closing pitcher and designated hitter. The fans will decide who makes the team. I will present a number of possibilities, and post a poll on the final slide for the fans to choose their favorite. If you do nothing else, please make sure you click through to the final page to cast your vote!

Today, we will begin the series by selecting the greatest starting pitcher in franchise history. The Los Angeles Angels were founded in 1961, and 2015 will be their 54th season as a member of Major League Baseball. Over that stretch the Halos have had plenty of quality arms, but this article will focus on the best of the best. The nominees will be shown in order of appearance, so whoever had the earliest first season in Anaheim will be shown first. Many of these men did not spend their entire careers with the Angels, and it is important to vote based on just their performance with the Halos.
