The Angels acquired All-Star closer, Huston Street, on July 19th from the San Diego Padres. Street endeared himself immediately to the halo faithful with strong performances down the stretch. Street saved 17 games for the Angels, and posted an ERA of 1.71. Street also performed very nicely in October, pitching three shutout innings against the Kansas City Royals in the American League Division Series.

Huston Street is up for the Closer of the Year Award Saturday evening. Street finished 2014 with a combined 41 saves, and a 1.37 ERA. Street is set to become a free agent following next season, but there have been rumblings of the Angels possibly extending the 31-year-old closer this winter.
