The Angels Battle for Second Base

A spring day will soon come as only they can in the Arizona desert. Fans hearts stir and millionaires play a game they innocently loved as children. But, upon the ground of the Angels Tempe Diablo Stadium a gladiatorial arena has been built in the middle infield.

Where once a great and much loved warrior would take his place at a keystone position an emptiness is now felt amongst fans and coaches alike. Young challengers are being called to arms to fill the void but only two are likely to survive. All have holes in their arsenal but also bring the promise of rising up to become an average or better contributor.
Over the course of a 162 game season long war any and all holes will be exposed. Howie Kendrick continually churned out consistent and above average production. Will his absence open up a gap in the Angels battle lines causing opponents to expose an incomplete team? Or, will a new hero come thru and solidify an otherwise complete team? The following candidates have the opportunity to be one of the most important pieces to a championship team.
