Weaver shuts down Astros

With all the recent talk about Angels pitcher Jered Weaver, what can people say about him after tonights performance? In tonights matchup against the Houston Astros, Weaver worked a complete game shutout in a 2-0 Angels win.
Weaver had been on the negative side of talk so far this season since he was struggling to find his composure and pitches. Angel fans have to be wondering now; where all the haters now? Weaver was able to maintain his composure tonight as he hit all the spots and was able to shut out the Astros offense.
Is this a sign that Weaver is on the rise on returning as the prominent ace that all Angels fans know? Another solid performance in his next start will certainly solidify that question. Weaver was working a scoreless matchup for the first four innings until his teammates David Freese and Erick Aybar each got singles and a sac-fly by C.J. Cron and RBI single by Carlos Perez were able to provide the run support for Weaver.
Weaver sure made a statement tonight that he still has it, and is not ready to go down just yet. Angel fans have to be sighing a sigh of relief that their ace pitcher looked like his old-self tonight.
