Sammy Sosa (1998)

Longest Home Run: 524 feet

Ah the trademark Sosa home run celebration, been awhile since we have been treated to that. The 1998 season had everything a baseball fan could have asked for, with McGwire and Sosa acting like they were bringing the nation together with each home run. In hindsight, not so much. But nevertheless, Sosa still hit bombs each season, with his best year being in 1998 finishing with 66 home runs, just shy of Big Mac’s 70. More impressively is the display Sosa put on in the home run derby at Milwaukee and Atlanta, routinely hitting homers that were all well over 500 feet.
