Overpaid, overpaid big time. Hard to knock Verlander though, this past year started with him and Kate Upton’s phone getting hacked, then dealt with an elbow injury for most of this season, but at the end of the day he still goes home to Kate Upton & $28 million bucks.
I guess this season can be considered a wash on all fronts for the Detroit Tigers franchise after throwing in the towel at the trade deadline. But the impact of Verlander being the first domino to fall very early in the season was crushing.
