CHICAGO WHITE SOX

The White Sox have struggled to make strides forward since the World Series almost a decade ago. This year seemed like there was reason to believe the team had turned the corner. After all of the offseason pickups like Jeff Samardzija, David Robertson, Melky Cabrera, etc. fans were buzzing. Fast forward to today and the White Sox are 18 games back from first place in the AL Central. So needless to say, the moves haven’t worked. Outside of the poor play, the stadium itself just isn’t an attractive venue when Wrigley Field is down the street and the Cubs are the premier team in this city. On a positive note, the Sox have higher attendance numbers than last year which was 20,944.
