The Oakland A’s just haven’t been good this year or interesting to watch. Last year seemed like it could have been the year to win it all, but when the deadline moves failed in the playoffs Billy Beane did what Billy Beane does and got rid of everyone. A major problem going on here is the fact that the franchise hasn’t had that big name player for fans to watch year after year. Inconsistent product on the field is a main reason for the poor attendance. Another big reason is the stadium itself. The coliseum is a monster of a field that just isn’t pleasing to the eye or provide any entertainment value. Essentially this stadium belongs to the Raiders and any fans in the seats this season are just Raider fans saving their tailgate spots.
