The MLB has done more each year to create high paying specialized roles that ultimately players benefit from. Certain positions are clear when it comes to their value and others not so much. Either way, each MLB team ultimately controls how the yearly salary will be comprised. Some teams have a higher point of spending throughout the roster and other teams save as much as possible when it comes to building a roster.
What makes all of this interesting is seeing where each team places a majority of their value. So we decided to take a look at how the money shakes out in terms of which teams spend the most at certain positions. Positional salaries are based off the total dollar amount and its percentage of the teams total payroll. Is it money well spent? You be the judge.
