Calling all arms!!! Who will be in the Los Angeles Angels rotation in 2016?

Matt Shoemaker – Shoemaker burst on the Angels scene in 2014 as a 27-year old rookie and quickly became a fan-favorite with his scruffy beard and lights out pitching performances. Shoemaker finished with a 16-4 record and a 3.04 ERA helping him finish second in the Rookie of the Year balloting. Unfortunately for Shoemaker 2015 was not quite the same as he finished with a 7-10 record and a 4.46 ERA. He did have a six week stretch from late June to early August where he went 2-1 with an ERA under 2, but it wasn’t enough to erase what he had done most of the first three months of very disappointing season. In Shoemaker’s case the decision seems to be a no-brainer as there are just too many arms they need/have to be in the Angels rotation that Shoemaker seems to be the most-likely odd-man out when it comes to discussing the 2016 starting rotation. There is a possibility that Shoemaker may be traded in the off-season or not offered a contract. The other option is to make Shoemaker the long-man in the bullpen and fill-in starter when needed. Either way you are probably not going to see Matt Shoemaker in the Angels rotation in 2016.
