Efren Navarro
Grade: C+
Efren Navarro didn’t play very often, but when he did play, he almost always played solidly. Navarro provided strong defense at first base with a .997 fielding percentage and was a late inning defensive replacement for both Pujols and Cron.
Navarro hit .253 with no home runs and five RBIs. While those numbers are not eye-popping, Navarro had a few clutch hits during the season and with increased playing time, his production would assuredly increase.
Having Pujols and Cron ahead of him unfortunately makes Navarro nothing more than a utility player for the Angels. Who knows if Navarro will be on the Angels next season, but he has shown he can at least be valuable as a back-up.
