4. Darren Oliver (3 seasons, 178 games)

15-3 record, 3.10 ERA, 164 K

Though he spent most of his 20-year-career with the division rival Texas Rangers, Oliver’s presence in front of Francisco Rodriguez in 2007-08 and then Brian Fuentes in 2009 proved a valuable commodity in the bullpen.

His ERA improved in each of his three seasons with the club, dipping from 3.78 to 2.88 to 2.71, and he never struck out fewer than 48 (though he struck out 65 in ’09).

Oliver also kept the ball in the yard, allowing only five home runs in each of his three seasons with the team. He finished 20 games in 2007, the first of only two times he accomplished that in his career.

Oliver knew his role and was an integral part in helping the Angels get to the postseason all three years he was with the team.
