Bengie Molina began his major league career with the Halos in 1998, playing only 2 games and a limited number of games in 1999. Nicknamed “Big Money” Molina labeled as a “good glove no hit” player, finished 4th in rookie of the year voting in 2000, and won a golden glove as the top defensive player at his position in 2002 and 2003. In 2002 he only committed 1 error and had a fielding percentage of .999 help the Angels win the championship in 2002.
