3. Chicago Cubs – 97-65b NL Wildcard Champions

The Chicago Cubs reached the post season for the first time since 2008 in 2015 and won only their second post-season series since 1908 defeating the rival St. Louis Cardinals in four games before falling to the Mets in four straight in the NLCS.

In 2016 the Cubs have huge expectations as they signing to key free agents away from the Cardinals in OF Jason Heyward as well as pitcher John Lackey.  Lackey is no stranger to Anaheim as he won a World Series with the Angels as a rookie in 2002.

The series is very popular one as both games are close to sellouts. The Cubs and Angels have met 10 times over the last 15 years during interleague and have split 10 games with each team winning five games each.  In Anaheim the Cubs are 3-2 against the Angels. With both of the games close to sell outs the atmosphere should be electric for opening day.
