3. Consider bringing Pujols back to first base.

Bringing Albert Pujols back to first base could prove useful. This isn’t a demotion for C.J. Cron; in fact, he’s played better than expected this season. This is about confidence, and the LA Angels don’t seem to have when it comes to fielding.

This team has committed 41 errors this season, some of which are just sloppy plays. Plays where the ball rolls out of the glove or slips out of the hand costing a double play.

Pujols being back at first base will provide a new look for a team that is using a farming system. The Angels are bringing in guys and expecting for them to produce and most times, it’s just not happening.

Pujols being at first may cause the team to trust each more when it comes to the right play. Pujols has been a first baseman for 90% of his career. There doesn’t appear to be any lingering issues with his foot, so why not?
