It was reported on Monday that the Angels were listening to calls concerning Hector Santiago. While no deal is imminent, the fact that the Angels are listening to offers gives fans the impression that the Angels are looking to sell prior to the trade deadline.

Will the Angels have a different roster by August 1st? General Manger Billy Eppler is telling us about as much as Professor Dumbledore told Harry Potter in the order of the phoenix film. So no one really knows the well-laid plans Eppler and company have at this point.

Santiago has been a huge plus for the Angels this season, they’ll need his arm if they are to make a charge for the post season. With Lincecum struggling and Weaver doing just ok, the Angels will look to Skaggs and Santiago to provide a majority of the wins needed to make the post season.
