Outfielders –

Right field – This spot has been anchored by Kole Calhoun the past four seasons and 2017 will his 5th season anchoring  down the right field spot.  Calhoun had a solid year hitting .271 with 18 homers and 75 RBI’s.  He also played solid defense and he shows no signs of faltering in 2017.

Center Field – This is probably the lock of the century that Mike Trout, the reigning AL MVP will be the starter in center field for the Angels in 2017.  Trout finished the 2016 season with 29 homers 100 RBI’s and a .315 average and 30 stolen bases.

Left Field – This is the only outfield spot that could be uo for grabs as both Cameron Maybin and Ben Revere could potentially be the every day left fielder. However, a third possibility could happen as the Angels could employ a platoon once again as Maybin bats right-handed and Revere bats from the left side.  Maybin has more power and Revere has more speed so we will see what the Angels decide to do here.  The one who loses out for the left field spot will be the utility outfielder along with some  help from Jefry Marte.

There always could be some last minute additions or subtractions that could change things, but this is what we will mostly likely be looking at when 2017 begins.
