The Los Angeles Angels are kicking off June without Mike Trout and possibly heading to the bottom of the AL West. But, Albert Pujols is going to hit 600 home runs, so there is something to cheer for.

If you’re a Los Angeles Angels fan, the 600 home run mark for Albert Pujols is a consolation prize. Frankly, bad luck has again taken its toll on the Angels. The injury of Mike Trout is becoming more highlighted after every game. Last night, Angels stadium was reportedly 10,000 short of capacity via ESPN.

Now, to be fair, The NBA Finals began last night. So, there was a reason to skip an Angels home game. However, it seems people could care less about Pujols’ major milestone. The man is approaching 600 home runs and 3,000 hits and all fans can think about is how soon is Mike Trout coming back.

The Los Angeles Angels are having another injury plagued season. Multiple pitchers, Mike Trout and now Cameron Maybin are out. According to rotoworld.com, the Angels are expecting Mike Trout back in the middle of July. It’s going to be the narrative throughout the season, as it was last season. However, Angels fans should appreciate what Pujols is doing. 10,000 people short of capacity when a record is on the line is unacceptable.

Angels fans have to understand that injuries happen. Trout’s injury sucks and will have a major impact on the season. However, that doesn’t mean you fold your cards, cash out, and leave the casino. If anything you double up and show that you’re a hardcore fan despite the fact that your star player is injured.

Consider this a “calling all Angel fans” post. Don’t let the Trout injury break your spirit. You have to support all the Angels Pujols is about to do something that will be written in the history books. Don’t let the current situation dictate your status as an Angel fan.
