Bengie Molina –  is another player who played for the Angels during their golden era which included the World Series Championship team and also the 2004 and 2005 AL West title winning teams.  Molina was one of the best defensive catchers in team history along with Martin Maldonado.  In addition he also could hit as well. Molina had a career .274 batting average and hit 144 home runs and drove in 711 runs in 11 full seasons of action.

Molina was very good working with pitchers and also had a very good arm.  He was a very good leader in the clubhouse and he would make a great coach. He served as a first base coach with the Texas Rangers in 2014 and was also their catching instructor.

If the Angels reached out to Molina I’m sure he would be interested in working for the team that he played the majority of his career with.
